The fire that started in Corona later joined with the fire in Yorba Linda and spread to Anaheim Hills. It is now being called the Freeway Complex Fire. 

ACRES INVOLVED: More than 10,475

CONTAINMENT: 0%

FIREFIGHTERS DEPLOYED: 1,260, 15 helicopters and 10 air tankers

COMMAND POST: Irvine Regional Park

INJURIES: 7 minor injuries to firefighters

STRUCTURES

1,000 threatened

HOMES DAMAGED OR DESTROYED: 200 residences

  • Anaheim Hills: 14 homes and 86 apartments
  • Yorba Linda: 92
  • Brea: 3
  • Corona: 16
  • Chino Hills: Several damaged

EVACUATIONS: About 7,000 homes evacuated.

Anaheim: Anaheim lifted all evacuation notices within the city.
Yorba Linda: As of 3:30 p.m., Yorba Linda lifted all evacuation notices within the city.

Brea - north of State College and east of Brea Blvd.
Brea - Kramer Blvd. and Lambert Rd. (Sommerset Condos)

ROAD CLOSURES:
The 57 freeway, closed on both sides, between Imperial Highway and the 60 freeway

Brea closures:

  • Northbound Santa Fe Road, closed at Lambert Road
  • Carbon Canyon Road, closed to eastbound traffic at Valencia Road
  • Northbound Valencia Road, closed at Lambert Road

Anaheim Hills:

  • Santa Ana Canyon Road is closed, between Gypsum Canyon Road and Imperial Highway

WATER ADVISORY

Residents of Hidden Hills Estates are advised by the Yorba Linda Water District to boil tap water at least 5 minutes before consuming.
