French President Nicolas Sarkozy was holding a long-awaited meeting with the Dalai Lama in the face of sharp protests from Beijing. The French president and the Tibetan spiritual leader were meeting in Gdansk on Saturday during celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of former Polish President Lech Walesa's Nobel Peace Prize.

- let's wait for the so called "sharp reactions" from the chinese government.. or will they now start to re-think their political strategy concerning Tibet.. which in a certain way has already failed! The Dalai Lama has made in Gdansk again some very wise comments - which showed us his great wisdom and experience.
