Frustrated Indian soldier killeges five colleagues, one senior
Frustration is constantly on the rise in Indian soldiers posted in troubled parts of the country, as the incidents of shooting colleagues by soldiers is growing for the past few years. In the latest such incident, a soldier of Assam Rifles killed five colleagues and a senior.
MANIPUR: An Indian soldier shot dead five of his colleagues and a senior in Manipur state, an Assam Rifles went on a shooting rampage.
The jawan of Assam Rifles was posted at Ukhrul in Manipur. He shot at and killed five of his fellow jawans and a Junior Commissioned Officer. After shooting, the jawan fled taking with him the weapon.
A massive Army operation is on to find him. The shooting followed an altercation between the jawan and his colleagues.
The reason for the fight is not known and an inquiry has now been set up to probe into the incident.
The accused is from Nagaland and is said to have a good service record of more than three years.

It is not first incident of its kind. Such incidents often occur in India-controlled Jammu and Kashmir and dozens of soldiers have so far been killed by frustrated colleagues.
