Note the lower biodiesel price...

For regular, premium and (traditional) diesel prices - go HERE for MSN Autos' 98273 (Mt. Vernon zip code) page or HERE for WashingtonGasPrices.com or preferably HERE for Skagit County's Internet Auto Guide gas prices page.

Now, I don't know about you and granted I don't drive, but would somebody please explain to me why the expletive my federal government is taking out a People's Republic of Chinese loan to fund a big bouquet of economic stimulus checks? Is the loan with interest from a country that may or may not be our ally or even possibly an enemy to get us off of foriegn oil, or petroleum all together with these prices + climate change, which will only increase the Skagit River Flood Risk & the flood risk of many other river basins across the world? Of course not!

But what year is this? An election year not just for the President & the Vice President, but also 1/3rd of the US Senate and, wait for it, 100% of the Congressional body primarily responsible for fiscal matters called the US House of Representatives. This isn't economic stimulus - this is incumbent vote stimulus. Of course, my legislative district's incumbent bragged about voting for it, albeit for folks (e.g. low-income senior citizens, disabled veterans and the survivors of disabled veterans) who needed them in his case. But still, huge strike against the incumbent Congressman in WA-2.

That said: When I get my check, I'm going to do something moral with it.

June 17, 2008 at the College Way Market - noticed how biodiesel at the time was eight cents cheaper than regular diesel.
