Is this the city's idea of decent nightlife? The fox is unbearable enough during the morning commute. Did you really need to park this noise machine in the middle of my evening?

mtippett, I like this story. It's good stuff. Welcome to Fungroovy, BC Mike,  Imagine the people who live near beaches when you get a 100 rowdies drunk and fighting, pretty much par for the course I would say.

Ah, the Roxy!  The only bar left in Vancouver where throwing up is still a common and acceptable behavior!

Barfing at both ends is a sure fire way to know you got an easy date, if you don't mind cleaning her up before taking her home.

The people who run this city really have no idea what constitutes a good time.  It's ironic that under that watchful eye of a hyper-surveillance mini police state that what emerges as socially acceptable is listening to the Fox and puking.  If that's entertainment then I don't want to be entertained Vancouver.  Pathetic.  God helps us in 2010 if this bunch is still around.

Ha! I saw that just the other week in there actually! (I'm referring to the puking at the Roxy......)

You have to give with the take.  Bring on the rock and roll and live music, but there is a serious lack of execution for a lot of events like this, thus bringing on binge drinking and puking on the floor.  Some things never change, no matter where you go, and it's always the "entertainment districts" that attract the folks for who it's no party unless you are puking.

Don't get me wrong.  I like good live music as much (probably more) than the next guy but the Fox boombox 18-wheeler is the opposite of all those good things.  It's canned top 40 garbage, loudmouth obnoxious DJ's and it totally kills any possibility of conversation.
