By JASON DePARLE Published: December 27, 2008WASHINGTON — To the issues that divide the Republican Party, there comes one more. Some Republicans find humor in the song “Barack the Magic Negro.” Some most definitely do not.
The debate was joined last week after a candidate for party chairman from Tennessee, Chip Saltsman, distributed the parody, which was broadcast on the Rush Limbaugh radio show last year and questions President-elect Barack Obama’s racial authenticity.
A friend told me about this parody last night. It's disgusting.

Barbara, thank you for the post here, however I am sorry it has already been posted earlier and why I would like you to link it to the previous post please. I am sorry about that, yet if you do a search before posting it may help avoid those double postings. Here is the previous post.

I never heard about it before now, and I don't see what's disgusting about it.The song largely makes fun of the press and the idiots who voted for this guy solely for his color, which for anyone paying attention, was injected into the election by none other than Barry O himself. I have plenty of reasons to dislike Obama, but color has never been one of them.
I'd recommend people watch the video themselves before making a judgment. Probably not in the best taste, but nowhere near the distatefulness of a Palin effigy hung out of a window which brought rave reviews by the left. This video gives someone pause to think about the guy we now have to live with for the next four years.

I do not see the value of the RNC sending this to supporters. A waste of money from a guy who worked as Huckabees campaign manager. What are these guys thinking?
