The G20 will meet in Pittsburgh on Wednesday, September 23. G20 protestors as well as police are gearing up for the event. Several protest marches have already been planned, including the March for Jobs on Sunday, September 27.
Pittsburgh was chosen as the US venue for the G20 summit because Pittsburgh has seen a decline in joblessness, and is being marketed as the face of economic recovery in the US.
The reasons Pittsburgh was chosen in the first place are simple: at the conclusion of the last summit in London in early April, the gathered leaders asked President Barack Obama if the US would host the next meeting.

I wonder whatever happened to "the right to assemble and protest?" one of the central pillars of the "free world" maybe we all a little less free these days?
