TORONTO - December 2010 - Although the G20 summit in Toronto at the end of June 2010 is over, the investigation of the police is not. The Toronto Police Service (TPS) Chief Bill Blair is under fire for his handling and mishandling of the whole situation and arrest of over 1000 citizens who were later released without charges from "Torontonomo Bay" make shift Detention Centre.

Chief Blair brought in thousands of extra police from across the country for the weekend and although most protesters were restrained, many from outside of Toronto caused havoc and burned police cars and caused millions of dollars damage in downtown Toronto over the weekend as the world leaders met behind 15 foot fences in Metro Convention Centre (MTCC.)

Chief Blair has acknowledged that he made a mistake in enforcing a "5 metre law" which is from the 1930's and was enforced several kilometres from the actual site. He also has taken back his statement that he "misspoke" when he claimed a YouTube video had been "doctored" by his forensic team, which later, he admitted he was wrong.

A glaring report from the Ombudsman of Ontario was just released last week by Andre Marin" appropriately called, Caught in the Act" and recounted several incidents of wrongful detention and police abuse of power of it's citizens. The police violated several incidents of the "Charter of Rights and Freedoms" as they unlawfully searched citizens and young people as they moved around the downtown core.

Several lawsuits are underway against the city and police and the recent revelations by Blair support these findings.
