Gavin Taylor Stabbed In Eye With Stiletto Heel by Girlfriend

Gavin Taylor was allegedly stabbed in the eye by his girlfriend, Staci Hargreaves, with her stiletto heel to the point where the heel was gouging his brain. Taylor and Hargreaves were in a taxi on their way back home to Manchester following a night out when Hargreaves stabbed Taylor in the eye.

Neighbours of the couple, who both live on the same street in Stalybridge, allege the incident was an accident saying, "they're boyfriend and girlfriend. He was in the front of the taxi, she was in the back. It was a kick." While another neighbour said, "he was on a night out and this is a domestic gone wrong."

West Yorkshire Police said Taylor was the victim of a "serious assault" at 2 a.m. as Taylor screamed in pain with the heel touching his brain. He was taken to a Huddersfield Royal Infirmary for surgery but was soon transferred to a specialist unit in Leeds.

Hargreaves was charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, a charge that carries a potential life sentence. Hargreaves was bailed to appear at Bradford Crown Court on February 16 when she appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court.

Some four years ago, Taylor and another man were sentenced to 16 months in jail for the drowning death of alcoholic father-of-two Chris Mattison after he was thrown into a freezing river "for a laugh."
