NP Rank:
Gay Anger, Gay Hatred
Response from the homosexual community to the vote has been intense, to understate.
"They voted against fairness, equality, and reason!"
They hate us, in other words. Oh, those loathsome bigots! Those Hatin' 38!!
The Mormons bore the brunt of the "gay" anger following the defeat of Proposition 8 in California. Fascists? Bigots? Haters?
Even better - for the Mormans and Christians - Christo-Fascists!
Like spoiled children enjoying a hissy fit, the angry gays (a word combination not to be resisted) stomp and shout, speak their own hatred and rage - and receive condolences from those that should know better. While they give no examples of that hatred or bigotry, they seem to believe that repeating the mantra of "hate and bigotry" loud enough, and often enough, will marginalize the opposition and put them on the defensive.
Why is calling those that oppose their agenda "Bigots" acceptable? Why is it given a pass? How can they label opposition as "Bigots" and ascribe "Hate" without approbation?
The legislators voted against fairness, equality, and reason? Really? Perhaps they voted the will of the people. Perhaps they voted equal rights for all, not special rights for the few. Perhaps they voted the voice of reason. The lawmakers, it should be noted, are not the ones throwing hissy fits.
The homosexual agenda has been on the receiving end of defeat after defeat. The response, consistently, has been to tar all opposition with words that should be labeled for what they are, hatred, bigotry, and smallness of mind.
If we are to condone their response by ignoring it, we risk accepting the wider acceptance of hatred and bigotry........unless of course, we are to allow special rights to the few.
This past Wednesday, in yet another “extraordinary session” – that’s where the Governor tells the Legislature they haven’t done their job and they need to come back to work – the New York State Senate, after finally looking at the huge budget shortfalls the state is facing, took on the issue of same sex marriage.
Of course, we all know the outcome.
Thirty-eight Senators, including thirty Republicans, and eight Democrats – now known collectively as the “Hate 38” – voted against gay marriage. They voted against fairness, equality, and reason.
If you look at it logically, there’s only one conclusion you can draw: ignorance, hatred, and bigotry. OK, that’s three. But they all add up to the same thing: No marriage equality for same sex couples because thirty eight elected officials in New York are motivated by fear and hatred. Or, their ties to special interest groups, like Maggie Gallagher’s National Organization for Marriage (NOM,) which spent a reported $600,000 in New York to fight the gay marriage bill.
Their fear and hatred of New York’s LGBTQ community has now spread over and impacted all New Yorkers – by depriving them of a state where equality, integrity, and fairness are the law of the land,

I find it complete double speak that the word tolerate has come to mean capitulate. Excellent article I applaud you.

IMO, they were mislead by NYS Senators -- and that is the reason for the anger.
Thanks for posting, Hugh!

JEEZ Hugh! This oughta stir the pot!
I like the "These Faggots Kill Fascists" banner! No doubt that will convince people to come over to their side.

Maybe not so many people know that the word fascism comes from the Italian "fascio" which means bundle of wood (originally meant to symbolise the strength in unity), or more etymologically similar "faggot" in english. So the fascist movement had it been correctly translated into english should be called the Faggotist movement. I suggest the queer community do their part in spreading this information.

whatever. Live and let live. Most gay people just want a good life free from hate. Life is life...if you are against gay sex...don't have it.
