Gaza conflict being fought on Facebook

ON FACEBOOK, THERE ARE MANY ANTI-ISRAELI/ANTI-JEWISH GROUPS, AND EVEN MORE PEOPLE WHO SHARE SUCH VIEWS. However, there are few pro-Israeli/pro-Judaism groups, and that is why we are here.

Please join and invite all of your friends to join; if, and ONLY if, you've invited at least 500 friends, message Todd, and if you fit certain restrictions, you will be promoted to officer. Please do not message Todd if you have invited less than 500 friends; our many thanks and great appreciation are implied here, and we simply do not have the time of day to respond to every single one of those questions.

Though a Facebook group may seem like a little thing, it can go a long way.

Please DO NOT message Todd or Yonatan asking them to advertise your group on this group's page; we have a no-advertising policy and, because the group is over 5,000 members, we no longer have the ability to message all of it's members. Therefore, if you do, we will just disregard it.

Separate business and other non-Facebook related causes are accepted, however.

ONCE WE REACH 250,000 MEMBERS, WE WILL PETITION FACEBOOK TO REMOVE ALL GROUPS WHICH SAY THINGS SUCH AS "G-D BLESS HITLER," "F--K THE JEWS," "F--K ISRAEL," ETC., AND GROUPS WHICH ENCOURAGE VIOLENCE AGAINST AND/OR THREATEN JEWS, ISRAELIS, OR THE NATION OF ISRAEL AS A WHOLE.

Though this may appear to be a violation of the First Amendment (Freedom of Speech), we have learned it is not. The Bill of Rights only applies to the Government, and entails that the Government cannot obstruct with the rights of the people. Facebook is a private company, and not owned, funded, or operated by the Government; thus the Freedom of Speech law does not apply for them. The rules for Facebook are made by it's creators, and listed in the Terms of Use page. There, on the fourth bullet point under the User Conduct section, it clearly states that no Facebook user can "upload, post, transmit, share, store or otherwise make available any content that we deem to be harmful, threatening, unlawful, defamatory, infringing, abusive, inflammatory, harassing, vulgar, obscene, fraudulent, invasive of privacy or publicity rights, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable."

Please remember, we are not trying to have Facebook censor anti-Israeli groups. Only groups that would violate Facebook's Terms of Use. We won't try to petition groups such as "I Wonder How Quickly I Can Find 1,000,000 People Who Dislike Israel" because they have as much of a right to say what they believe in as we do.
