Gaza reporter confirming Hamas fired rockets near TV office
As in most news from Gaza
this story has two sides. If
this tape does exist it shows
that news is not always truth.
m
Footage of a presenter on the Arabic language television station Al-Arabiya apparently confirms that Hamas fired at least one rocket from close to a building used by journalists during the 22-day conflict between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The Israel Defense Forces shelled the building, drawing international condemnation, and television networks with offices in the building denied that rockets had been launched from anywhere nearby.
But the recording, filmed by an Israeli and released Tuesday by Israel's Foreign Ministryshows Al-Arabiya presenter Hanan Al-Masri saying that a Grad rocket had been fired from a location near the studios at Al-Shuruk tower in Gaza City. Al-Masri did not realize that she had been caught on camera.
] On January 9, the IDF hit the Johara tower of Gaza City, which houses more than 20 international news organizations, including Turkish, French, and Iranian outlets.[16][17][15] Haaretz publish video tape of Gaza reporter confirming Hamas fired rockets near TV offices. Gaza reporter Hanan Al-Masri from Johara tower on Al-Arabiya: "A Grad rocket from here? It's here. Listen, it's here, below the building...".[1][2] Al-Jazeera reported that at least one journalist was injured in the attack and Press TV reported that satellite transmission equipment was damaged.[15] [18] An IDF Spokesperson's Unit said the building had not been targeted, though it may have sustained collateral damage,[19]
Hamas rockets hit their targets accurately. Jews stray missiles. Hamas does not lose its missiles on the traitors assaado (1 hour ago) Show Hide 0 Marked as spam Reply LAMO! Hamas firest Qassam rockets from a building, that's SO -------- hilarious!

Reply This video is comedy at it's best. The reporter geniuenly can't believe that Hamas is firing rockets from the very station she is working in...lmao. I still say the Palestinians need to clean up thier own mess and put a responsible government in place that can support them without getting them killed.

This says they released the tape. So it should be available to the media. Shelling this building was a big story 2 weeks ago as was the shelling of the UN food storage building.
In both there were denials that Hamas was firing near the buildings. In wars mistakes are made and in wars some fighters do hide among civilians.

Another good reason why Israel didn't want journalists in Gaza, endangered by Hamas. Video not showing up.

I am trying to find a link to that tape. If I do I will post it.

I've seen the tape that's on YouTube. It shows that the Hamas several times fired mortar offensively directly from the U.N. school. It's painfully apparentl that the U.N. in Gaza is complicit along with the Hamas in War Crimes.

I thank you for seeing there are two sides to this. Many believe any rumor about Israel and deny Hamas ever did wrong.

158,
'close' as it is said, only counts in dancing.
In war, close is a flimsy excuse for indiscriminate murder of children and civilians. In Gaza, 1,5 million Palestinians couped up in tight territorial quarters, makes everything close. Your post only strengthens the need for citizens in favor of a civil world not to let up until the Israeli war criminals are prosecuted and their victims families provided with some clear understanding as to the terrifying, torturous and atrocius circumstances that took their loved ones.

The Hamas continued throughout the conflict to force families to stay inside booby trapped homes, shot and murdered hundreds of their Fatah political opponents, and intentionally use their own civilian population to hide behind and to shoot from. It is the Hamas who are guilty of war crimes. And to take the argument one more step--they're claiming victory. So which one is it, victory or defeat?

Unfortunately it is a victory for both sides. the children are the losers on both sides.
Hamas makes millions off the tunnels. Think they actually wanted them closed and the borders open? No bloody way.

I agree with you on this.
The children are indeed the real losers.

If you want any thinking person to take you seriously then you have to wake up and admit to the crimes of Hamas. Arafat could have had a free state 30 years ago and chose terrorism instead. Blame him for being cooped up.
You yourself have counted far up the weapons Israel used. Do you think anyone will believe that with that firepower they would have killed only1300 IF THEY WERE INDISCRIMINATE?
In your view, Does deliberately targeting Jewish children count as a war crime?
Or are Jews, as Hitler said, sub human?

Thank you much for that.

Thanks for this story. I am hopeful one day rockets will not be the weapon of choice. I hope the weapon of choice become communication. Seems like all we have now is text, lies, and video tape.

I fully agree with you on this.
