Gaza doctor's tragedy caught on Israeli TV - 17 Jan 09

Quote

Dr. Izzeldin Abuelaish has devoted his life to reconciliation between Israelis and Palestinians. Now he is struggling to hold on to the humane philosophy that has guided his life.
The New York Times

It is easy in this age of speedy information to write of a certain amount of it as propaganda from both sides in the Gaza conflict. This video of an incredible doctor speaks volumes about the insanity and complete lack of care that the Israel military is demonstrating.

This is a ruthless military not aimed at destroying a militant party but rather the collective spirit of a civilian population. I hope at some point in the future Israel will be held accountable for the "mistakes" that should never have happened.

Here's a link and description of the video. Disturbing stuff.  As the doctor said everybody knew that he, and his family, were home.

Gaza doctor's tragedy caught on Israeli TV

Palestinian doctor Ezzeldeen Abu al-Aish was giving Israel's Channel 10 his daily account from inside the war zone in Gaza when three of his daughters were killed in an Israeli attack.

In his report, he called for help as his house was attacked.

Al Jazeera's Roza Ibragimova reports.
