George Alan Rekers Threatens Lawsuit Against Miami New Times
Anti-Gay Religious-Right Leader George Alan Rekers Threatens to Sue Miami New Times Over Homosexual Article
Miami New Times, credited with breaking the story on anti-gay, religious-right leader George Alan Rekers and his gay travel assistant, could be sued according to Rekers if the story in the Miami New Times George Rekers Is a Homosexual, Escort Says is inaccurate.
Rekers, co-founder of the Family Research Council, who has reportedly admitted to hiring a gay man as a travel assistant to lift his luggage when necessary, has also claimed he did not know the man was gay even though Facebook exchanges show Rekers knew the man was 'Rentboy' Gay Escort.
Professor Friend Urged Rekers To Ask Travel Assistant For Statement
Rekers apparently took the advice of a professor friend who recommended that he should ask his travel assistant for a statement on what actually happened during the trip to Europe. The questions posed by Rekers and the answers provided by Rekers' travel assistant, contradict statements made by the Gay male escort hired by Rekers which appeared in the Miami New Times on Thursday, May 6th, 2010.
When I called my travel assistant to ask if he would write a statement to me, he asked me to send him questions to remind him of what topics about our trip he should write to me about, which I did on May 4.
Rekers Questions To Travel Assistant
- Did Dr. Rekers in fact hire you to lift my luggage when necessary as a travel assistant during the trip, because I cannot do so myself since I had surgery?
- Did you in fact lift my luggage during the trip each time it was necessary, or did Dr Rekers lift his own luggage during the trip?
- Did Dr. Rekers hire you as a prostitute for the trip?
- Did Dr. Rekers spend time explaining how the Christian faith is based in love to you during the trip?

Perhaps it's wishful thinking on Rekers part, Susan:) Notice: the key words 'if' -- inaccurate'.
if the story in the Miami New Times George Rekers Is a Homosexual, Escort Says is inaccurate.
You are very welcome! Happy Mother's Day to you as well!:)

Okay, so how many hotels did The Good Doctor move in and out of on this trip...i.e., why was an assistant needed to "lift luggage" for a full week's time??? (The hotels and airports I've passed through have bellhops to do that for you in hotels, airports, etc.) Is there Biblical scripture that forbids unpacking once he reaches a destination, and he must constantly say, "Boy, I need you to lift down my luggage from the closet shelf and get me another pair of socks, if you please." I also heard talk of a contract that's out there, requiring 8 hours of companionship, an hour of massage, and 2 meals a day with The Doctor. DOES HE CARRY HIS LUGGAGE WITH HIM EVERYWHERE???????
