Georgia School Bus Crash: Highway 113 and Hog Liver Road

James Rashawn Walker, 17, has been identified as the teen killed in the crash, which also injured 10 others, after a school bus driver lost control and drove into a ditch.
Sgt. Justin Howard, with the Georgia State Patrol said:
"As the driver attempted to reenter the roadway, the bus overturned onto its right side. During the process of overturning, one of the students was partially ejected and the bus landed on top of the student,"
The driver, Kenneth Ross Herringdine, 59, was a trainee bus driver, but a driver trainer was also on the bus at the time of the crash.
There were 14 students on board.

The bus crashed around 2 pm in Carroll County and while police and fire crews are responding, details surrounding the crash are being withheld. WTVM is reporting that one person has been killed in the crash and school board officials have now confirmed that the bus was transporting students from Temple High School.
The name of the deceased has not been released, and police are asking concerned parents to gather at the high school.
MyFoxAtlanta reports that 10 people are injured after the bus flipped over, and it is believed at this time that the driver lost control of the bus and ran into a ditch. Three people are being treated at Tanner Medical Villa Rica, six are being treated at Tanner Medical Center in Carrollton, while another three had to be taken to Higgins General in Breman. One other student has been flown to Atlanta Medical Center.
