Getting the Bill for the School Supplies

The store keeper at the local school supply store we went to writes up the bill. Off camera, the store keeper told me that - because I came to the store with local connections and knew the culture and language a bit - they charged me the actual price of the items. When World Vision comes into town and buys from the local school supply stores - they confessed - they usually jacked up the price.

It was kind of nice to know that - even though I'm nowhere near as big a scale as World Vision - I'm operating at a great cost efficiency :-)
