Ghana, Africa's California holding elections Dec 7th
Ghana the "californian" Westcoast democracy of Africa
Ghana with 6% growth rate over years, is considered as the African success story. Now elections must proof the continuous process. Oil fields found recently may cause corruption, like all centralised energies. What Ghana needs now is a stable power supply with 30% Electricity from Renewables and a modern power black out grid.
Ghana has a highly competent electoral commission
LAST year oil was found off the coast of Ghana. There was rejoicing, of course. But the mood was tempered by the knowledge of how oil has polluted the nearby Niger Delta and corrupted Nigeria. More than anything, Ghanaians were seized by a determination to avoid the “resource curse” of Nigeria.
Now, with a general election on December 7th, it is the curse of the ballot box that Ghanaians want to avoid. After electoral disasters in Nigeria, Kenya and Zimbabwe in the past 18 months, everyone is hoping, and many are praying, that Ghana will avoid the bloodshed, chicanery and political warring of its African peers.

Ghana unlike Kenya should decisively choose to have a peaceful election as a gift of XMAS and NEW year to Africa on Dec 7.
What makes hot news from Africa is almost always bad news for Africans on the ground.
Let's try Good tidings over this XMAS from Africa!
Thanks SOLARLIFE for raising Green issues pertaining to exploitation of Natural Resources in Africa.
In the long run,the curse of corruption and civil wars fuelled by competition for these resources will be centred on Environmental degradation that will result from unplanned use of this GIFT that Africa has turned on to a CURSE!

PROFARMS....Ghana unlike Kenya should decisively choose to have a peaceful election as a gift of XMAS and NEW year to Africa on Dec 7. Green de-central energy power is eesential to avoid the corruption coming with central oil fields. The UN came finally to the same result. De-central power, and de-central society go hand in hand for democracy.
