Has the Girl Who Was Taped Throwing Puppies in a River Made a YouTube Apology Or is it a Fake?
The identity of the girl in the red hoodie who has sparked outrage around the world over her blatant display of animal cruelty when she threw six puppies in a river, has still not been officially identified, but the detective mystery continues.

On Wednesday a reported video apology appeared on YouTube saying her name was Katja Puschnik, but is has since been taken down for 'terms of use violation'. We have uploaded a still frame from the video below.
Chances are the video was a fake and that's why it has been removed and people still have no idea who Katja Puschnik or Antonia Miskic are (two names being thrown around as to who the girl might be).
According to SOS, a Sarajevo-based animal rights group, the girl is from Bujojno, Bosnia, and was filmed and uploaded to YouTube by her brother.
"It is a mirror of society and the fact that young people are doing such things shows how they have been raised," Velimir Ivanisevic, the head of SOS, told AFP.
Now an investigation has been launched in Bosnia, where law dictates that anyone inflicting cruelty on animals could get fined as little as $19 or as much as $6,400, depending on the crime. Many around the Internet has asked for the girl to be thrown in a river instead.
PETA has offered a $2,000 reward for anyone with information, and Gawker reports that film director Michael Bay has offered $50,000 for anyone with information leading to the arrest and successful prosecution of the girl in the red sweatshirt and the person who shot the video. However, here is no posting on his website.
No one has come forward yet, no doubt this girl and the person with the camera, are scared at the extent of the backlash that has hit them from all across the world.
The mystery continues.

Why is she sorry? for the tube or the action? This girl is young and most likely knows no different in a country that probably can't afford to spey their animals. I doubt she owned the dog who had the litter, it was most likely her uneducated parents. The video was wrong, but what is more wrong is the death of these little puppies. The real issue here is responsibility awareness, in the way people keep and breed animals. If you have so much money Mr. Bay, can you put it towards all animal cruelty awareness, the main current issue being factory farming and the killing of dogs for human consumption. Perhaps you are unaware, as most people are, but who how do we choose which animals we can be cruel to? In my opinion, we should not be cruel to any. We can farm cattle, give them lives and eat them, without all the horrors. We can have fur, at the end of an animal's life. We can educate dog owners and help them to spey, in countries where they cannot afford to do so. www.meat.org thank you Mr. Bay.

I agree with what you are saying. I grew up on a farm. My grandparents, because of the economy, couldn't keep litters of cats or puppies and so... did away with them. But that's because of the little money they had. They lost animals and are horrified at what they did but had no to little choices. Humaine societies should pay more attention to the speying. And I love the point you brought up about being able to eat meat but be sensitive to honoring these animals.

The apology means nothing, if you can even consider that one. Killing an innocent animal, ill or not, gives no excuse for behaiving this way, especially when a poor creature can't even defend itself. She should be ashamed, and charged.

why would you compare this to farming,facotories thats benifiting us when you take poor innocent puppies nd throw them violenty for fun there is nothing ok with that this person should be punished and other countries do have diffrent veiws and maby it is the parenting but however its also commen sense I highly doubt this is normal anywhere you just dont take a liter of puppies and kill them for no reason it waz a sensless sphycotic act and I agree with that we shouldnt be cruel to any animals but i dont agree that its ok even if u dont have money what are you sayin its a free pass to throw puppies and enjoy it. Iphone 4s and other phones with hd cameras cost a lot of money, yet there only option of things to do with these puppies was to toss them in a river because they couldnt afford a vet? OK im sorry i have to disagree with you. If its a cellphone then i can bet you she could afford the vet. Remember you hve to pay monthly for a phone and im guessing one with that good of a video camera was not cheap. Im the one who sent this video to PETA over email telling them they have to arrest her. Thank god its all over the internet because i want her to get the cruelest punishment. THERE IS NO EXCUSE for what she did, and if you watch the video you can clearly see shes enjoying what shes doing. Did you see/read how many children are dying every day in Africa because they do not have food, water, and medicine? because this girl had a choice, to be inhuman or to show humanity. she has been given the human ability to choose right from wrong, what is ethical and what is not, to be kind or insensitive... whereas the children of Africa have no choice, they have been born into a third world country, and there ARE tons of awareness progammes out there driven by celebrities and such to bring awareness to the world... just like so, this video and outrage is to bring to light that such people exist, and that in a world already so full of hate and pain, that we should be more compassionate to all living things.

I'm sorry, but how is writing hateful things on the Internet cruel? Like she would read it, and like she would even give a shit... She'll be too busy trying to worm her way out of what she's done. Your point about the starving children, yes it happens and yes it's sad but we live in an ignorant society, one that would much rather turn a blind eye than drop these country's huge debts etc. No matter how much is donated to third world countries the problem will more than likely never be sorted. Your comparison to starving children and these innocent puppies are irrelevant. This girl decided to do this, and not only that but she showed no remorse and even made a stupid little sound effect, I for one think your point was irrelevant and stupid, this article is about the puppies not starving children; perhaps if you care so much you should go preach to the government rather than on an Internet video that had no relevance. The apology is clearly a fake. I saw the video, I saw her smiling and heard the disgustingly happy noises that were made.If this was real, and the puppies were 'sick' she would not of had it filmed as it is an absolutely disgusting thing to do. Death by drowning is not quick, nor is it painless. She picked them up and threw them as if they were nothing.In all honestly, i would wish things worse then death on this deranged human.What a disgusting, person.

The immediate anger you feel when you see this video is overwhelming so I understand how people may say horrible things in haste. However, we have a responsibilty as humans to protect this earth and every living thing that occupies it. I understand your campaign about starving children and I agree that it is also abuse and devastating. A life is a life and when one (or several) are taken in such a disgusting way, we have a responsibilty to speak out. Especially when it comes to the innocent and helpless whether that be a starving child or a bucket of puppies. Let's not begin to show our ignorance as a species and put ourselves above all else, for without animals on this planet, we would NOT survive. Should we look at the situation in the Gulf right now and say the same thing...no big deal that we've destroyed countless sealife because there are starving children? The fact is, I'm just a disgusted seeing a starving child as I am seeing abuse to these puppies.

I think the main issue with this is the joy she seems to take in the killing. Its true that in some countries the killing of unwanted puppies is done without much fuss due to cultural and economic differences. But I have to say when I imagine people drowning puppies because they simply cant afford to keep them, I would rather not think of them smiling and capturing it for the world to see. On a side note about children being more important than animals. I do agree that children suffering is a terrible thing, but we have become desensitized to that due to the heavy publication it receives.People tend to ignore the things about us as a species that makes us cruel. So animal curelty, even though its widespread, is mostly ignored by the average person and rarely thought about. This means when we see it in this sort of instance, its that much more horrifying than seeing starving children that we see everyday on tv. I do think this girl should be punished, not just because she is vile and clearly missing morality, but also because sick acts like this only escalate. The laws against animal cruelty need to be intensified, because a person who is willing to kill an innocent puppy, will certainly not think twice about hurting a person. And before anyone decides to rag on me for being pro puppy (although I have no idea why anyone would)I am a vegetarian for this exact reason. I cant pretend not to know how meat is obtained. And I try to show the same respect to any living creature that i want to be shown.

If I was walking down a river and came across kids doing this sort of thing it would be hard to hold back from throwing them into the river after a good a$$ kicking, But because I have humanity I would'nt be able to do it, They are just kids seriously deranged kids but even thats not completely they're fault as a kid I would'nt do this because I was raised to respect all living creatures and I know for a fact my kids could'nt do this because of how they were raised. You guys need to build a bridge and get over it.So 6 puppies died, big fucking deal.
