Glenn Beck's '9-12' Logo Inspired by Socialist/Communist Symbols?

What an insightful analysis, lorac! I really see how all of that is true and I don't need specific examples of what evidence backed up those inferences.

Beck reads an awful lot and grew up at a time when there was still plenty of this stuff around. In fact, you could see such stuff as any leftist-organized anti-war rally back when Bush was in charge of our war machine and not now that Obama is in charge of the same war machine. :)

My name is Matthew M Petrin; from Nashville, Tennessee I have worked successfully in the field of commercial real estate since 1988 for firms and clients such as W. Gerald Ezell, Carl Storey III, Insignia Commercial Group, Prudential Insurance, GE Capital, ARC Properties, Jamestown Properties, First Union National Bank, Crescent Resources, Ambassador Joe Rodgers and Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society.    In 2001 I was partner in the firm CAPITAL Real Estate Services. A string of coordinated events began to occur that appear to have been arranged in an effort to cause division between my partner Deborah (Sutton) Wilson (San Diego, CA) her client Woodmen of the World Life Insurance Society (<?xml:namespace prefix = st1 />Omaha, NE) and myself. Going forward there has been a constant and professional effort to discredit my character, isolate me from society and drain my finances. There have been several horrific events coordinated on subsequent dates of 9-11 over the years following. I have no history that would be a catalyst to such treatment. Coming out of the business development side of our industry I spent my life entertaining and nurturing client relationships. Researching this scenario to discover motive for this treatment I have discovered the following facts:   *          Woodmen Tower was the tallest building in Omaha in 2001    *          Mr. Bush visited Omaha on 9-11-01 *          Several executives working in the World Trade Towers were in Omaha on 9-11 attended a fund raiser hosted by Mr. Warren Buffett, further there was a scheduled tour of Offutt Air Force Stratcom’s -“Global Guardian” which monitor and control global nuclear systems.   I feel these events are related to 9-11 and a program by a foreign entity to discredit my existence and credibility. For some eight years now I have carried great burden and persecution. People near and dear to me are literally tortured or killed. Since this incident my younger sister Marianne (38 Petrin) Rachelli (Boulder, Colorado) was killed on 9-11-02, my grandmother Denise Petrin (93 Downingtown, PA) killed on 9-12-2003, my sister Suzanne (42 Petrin) Thompson (Nashville, TN) attacked and beat with a steel chair 9-03, my niece Magi Hicks (7-months Murfreesboro, TN) killed and professionally covered up, friend Millard Fuller founder of Habitat for Humanity and Fuller Center for Housing murdered in 2009 with in a twelve hour period of the death of Mr. Joe Rodgers a client during 2002 and 2006 (Mark Gill). I have been extorted (over and over out of belongings, relationships, finances and peace of mind in a deceptive and calculated manner), my ex-wife, daughter, and fiancé literally placed in a Manchurian “SHELL LIFE”, and seem to be going through some type of conditioning/brainwashing. I have been long suffering and forgiving regarding these atrocities, but they continue. I have been run out of every attempt I have made to work, buffeted and mentally tortured in a constant and degrading campaign without reason or cause. I have donated my time to community service, my money to the poor, and turned myself into the authorities reporting any and all minor infractions that occurred in my entire life. I cherished my wife and my daughter form the day she was born, only to discover this horrific work in the background. I have reported these events, but someone seems to block my efforts. Many citizens including myself have been victims of these circumstances. Tax paying American citizen’s of excellent character. Why am I not receiving citizen protection, rights, or allowed to discuss these occurrences? I am asking for your help in this matter as a neighbor, friend and patriot of our country.

I don't think that the title of this article is an intellectually honest portrayal of the truth about Glenn Beck's 9/12 project. I went to the website and that logo was nowhere to be found. Perhaps I didn't search in the right place? What I saw was an image that smacked of the American Revolution, and it is why Beck is hated by the left so very much... He is very comfortable siding with the Constitutional Republic we were founded as, and completely against everything that the symbol referenced in this article, stands for.

What is the 9-12 Project?

Even if the logo in the article was correct, I think it has little significance. Beck is not a scholar or  a historian, just a populist, so most likely wouldn't understand the significance of the symbol anyway. Beck and his 'movement' are a product to sell air time, not a philosophy. It's money not politics that drives Beck's  handlers. They are the brains - he is the on-air talent just like a Home Shopping pitch man
