TECHNOLOGY promotes EVER INCREASING conveyor belt SPEEDS in stacking SHELVES ever HIGHER with GOODS "toughting" for CUSTOMERS as OPPOSE to "CUSTOMER DEMANDS" being met by PRIOR GOODS ORDERING in filling DEMAND however it has also promoted a 24 hour PLANET to which ENERGY MUST be available in meeting those demands to BALANCE ECONOMIC TRADE. A COLD WAR based upon WHOM can CONSUME the most ENERGY in maintaining/strengthening its currency above all others.
