Glynn County Sex Offender Captured

A fugitive wanted by the Glynn County Sheriff’s Department was by the U.S. Marshals New York /New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force in Rochester, New York on April 25, 2008, based on information generated by the Savannah Office of the Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

John Cunningham, 27, was being sought on warrants issued in Glynn County, Georgia charging him with Probation Violation and Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. The original charge which labeled him as a Sex Offender and requires him to register every year was a Statutory Rape charge from 1999 in Glynn County. The case was referred to the U.S. Marshals Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force to help locate and arrest this subject. Numerous leads have been worked by the task force. New leads generated by the Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force indicated that Cunningham was in a house at 46 Austin Street in Rochester, New York.
