goddesses from major religions, 2011

The most beautiful Jew i've ever seen in my life has to be Scarlett Johansson. i first saw her in Lost in Translation with Bill Murray. i knew this girl would be something in Hollywood. You could just see it in her eyes. She's a goddess if there ever was one. A true Babe.

i knew of a Pakistani model because some guy/girl tried to scam me using her picture years ago. But she didn't win my search. Surprisingly, an unknown did. Not 100% sure she's Muslim but we'll give it a go..

The Hindu 'goddess award' must presently go to Deepika Padukone. i'm not super familiar with Indian or Hindu models/actresses but Deepika wins my initial search. For one thing, you can't say she's not beautiful. ^^

Not so much for fear of being labeled a racist or anything silly like that .. i must choose Tyra Banks for my Christian goddess representative. She is beautiful and Christian.

Of course i save my favorite goddesses for last .. But i couldn't decide between two girls .. The eyes .. They kill you with the eyes .. i could die looking into those eyes .. They rip my soul out - these girls. i choose them to represent Buddhism because they're Japanese.

Now as you can see, my choices were not completely arbitrary nor completely based on superficial beauty. The association with major religions was somewhat loose (for example, i'm not sure Ms. Johansson even thinks of herself as Jewish) but also makes a point about beauty and religions simultaneously: inner beauty comes from the eyes and religious affiliation is becoming less and less important (thank God!).

So please don't 'string me up to dry' on this one .. Is it so wrong i have a weakness for inner beauty? While at the same time i firmly believe religions take themselves way too seriously.. Please feel free to comment on your favorites/choices. :)
