A Good Week Just Got Better!
I sent out an email yesterday that is posted at the end of this article:
Hi again, friends. I would have mentioned this yesterday, but I just got the call this morning.
After emailing the Nancy Grace show since less than 3 weeks after Jessie disappeared (see below), and not giving up . . . I just kept sending messages, but never heard from them. And then when I heard about her new show, Find 50 People in 50 Days I knew this was it. This was the time that Jessie’s case would get on Nancy Grace. AND I WAS RIGHT.
Jessie’s case was chosen to be on The Nancy Grace Show, Find 50 People in 50 Days. A producer called me and told me they got my voice message I left on the weekend, and many emails about Jessie’s case and decided it was one they wanted to air. She told me that at 3pm their time (noon my time) I would be getting a call from their senior producer Phil Rosenbaum to interviewed me about Jessie.
He called and we spoke for about 45 minutes and then I sent a bunch of info and pictures to him. He said it was all great. THE SHOW IS LIKELY TO AIR ON THURSDAY. Isn’t this awesome. On Issues tomorrow and the next day on Nancy. Who knows, maybe Jessie’s case will be one of those cases they run with! Well, I can hope, right?
I do have a dilemma though – I will be flying to Toronto the day it airs. IS THERE ANYONE THAT CAN RECORD IT TO A DVD FOR ME? AND IF YOU CAN ALSO RECORD TO A DVD, THE ISSUES SHOW, TOO? I would love to have copies of these shows.
Message from Phil after the interview: Glendene, your story is heartbreaking but you tell it so beautifully. You do Jessica justice every time you speak. Best wishes, Phil.
So, remember, this is a busy week for Jessie: CNN’s sister station, HLN on Wednesday, January 26th for Issues with Jane Velez-Mitchell; on Thursday, January 27th for Nancy Grace’s show Find 50 People in 50 Days; on Friday, January 28th I am presenting at the Freedom Benefit Concert for launch of the Alliance Against Modern Slavery (A.A.M.S.); and on Saturday, January 29th I have 15 minutes during the Inaugural Conference for the A.A.M.S.
I did get a message today from the producer at Issues, she told me: We are going to focus in on the angle of a mom’s message to other moms out there, and a bit less on the human sex trafficking. It’s a better way of engaging our audience to pay attention and possibly help with any info or sightings. There is no “need” to make you and her the poster people for sex trafficking. Our purpose is to try to help our guests….and our viewers. So let’s see what we can do. So, it looks like I have to be careful about what I say and (for now) not mention that she is the victim of human trafficking. I will be careful that it does not accidently slip out while I am talking!
Thank you all for your messages. I appreciate them all. Sincerely, not just Jessie’s, but also Crystal, Katie & Jennee’s mom and Maddie, JJ & Ili’s grandma, Glendene.
PS: I mentioned that tickets for the concert on Friday were $19.00, but I never mentioned that the conference on Saturday were FREE. So, if you are in the Toronto area, please click on the link down near the bottom of this email to register and we will see you there.

AND MANY, MANY OTHERS!
What a great week this will be for getting Jessie’s case out to more people who have not heard of her before and to educate more people about the horrific crime of human trafficking.
I have been invited to be on HLN (sister station to CNN) on Wednesday, January 26th, 2011, 7pm Eastern Time / 4pm Pacific Time for ISSUES with Jane Velez-Mitchell (CHECK YOUR LOCAL LISTINGS). HLN has a huge audience and I am so happy to know that there will be millions of people watching the show that day.
As many of you know, I was invited to the official launch of the Alliance Against Modern Slavery. They are holding a benefit concert and inaugural conference. Well, the time is here – I am attaching the program and speaker bios, including mine and Jessie’s.
I leave on Thursday, January 27th in the afternoon, for Toronto, Ontario. Then on Friday, January 28th I will be presenting at the Freedom Concert (Tickets $19.00 each, $14.00 students), which is being held from 7:00pm to 10:00pm. Box office info.
And on Saturday, January 29th I will be speaking at the Inaugural Conference, which is being held from 9:00am to 5:30pm.
What an honour it was to be invited and now that is it here, I am feeling that the importance of being there is so great, I just can’t wait.
As we get closer and closer to the 5 year mark since Jessie went missing – I want to thank you all again for your continued support. It means so much to me and my family and I know it means a lot to Jessie. I am so grateful to everyone. Sincerely, Jessie’s mom Glendene.

I am a public health nurse. I think that my job as a safe works nurse (needle exchange, condoms, lube, general checks on the locals and the scene, with std and hiv testing) puts me in contact with people that may not be evident to the general public. I wonder if you could get information from other public health nurses and social workers and such that might have an insuide track. I have often found trick pads by accident when answering the call for more clean crack pipes and condoms. We are the dont ask dont tell nurses BUT if you are not a consenting adult, appear underage, are in imminent harm, we will make the right call. Otherwise, your confidentiality is tied to my license. We dont take real names, but do use pseudonyms. I am in Canada, but our counterparts in the States are there.

Thank you for your message. I am also in Canada, however Jessie went missing in the USA so we are active in both countries.
I have not thought about talking to public health nurses, and I am very glad you suggested this.
If you want to contact me, my email address is jessiesmom@jessiefoster.ca - again, thank you, Glendene.
