After the unveiling of the wax likeness of First Lady Michelle Obama at Madame Tussands Museum in Washington D.C. this past week, it was noted that no Republican First Ladies were on display at the museum.

From the article:

"There have not been enough guest requests" for, say, a Mrs. Reagan or Mrs. Ford, museum marketing director Rosemary Del Prado said Tuesday. The museum solicits feedback via its Web site and a gift-shop kiosk and asks visitors to nominate people to be included for exhibit, she explained.

"There was overwhelming support for a Michelle Obama figure because of her being a fashion icon and mother," said Ms. Del Prado, who insisted that the popular tourist attraction is strictly nonpartisan.

I just read the original article,  I think it's a bit silly to criticize a commercial place for whatever they choose to display for maximum revenues.

Although I thought Laura Bush was well liked, but probably not enough for Tussaud, I guess...
