The Governor's campaign ride arrived about 7:30, two hours behind schedule at the Alaska AeroFuel hangar, Sadler Plaza. The crowd of 3000+ had been there starting about 4:30 and was still enthusiastic. About 70 protesters protested something or other outside the fence. MIBs were in evidence, bottled water and signs verboten.
The Governor thanked everyone for allowing her to come back to Fairbanks, the Golden Heart City. She said that if allowed she will be going to Washington DC to shake things up. Much applause.
The Palin family will attend the deployment ceremony at Fort Wainwright today at 1 for the Stryker Brigade going to the Middle East. Son Track is among the 4000, which is why the Gov is in Fairbanks at this time.

Palin's popularity is unquestionable in Alaska. While others submit lies that an anti-Palin rally was "the largest rally ever in Alaska," this one was over double in size.
Some bloggers will make up any lie just to rank well in Google, without any type of challenge. That's why it's important to do your own research, not just accept anything you read as fact.

Isn't this a security issue now? What about Secret Service protection for the son of the V.P. candidate?

The son is in Iraq now. He is assigned to one of the less pacified provinces. Would he be a terrorist target over there? Maybe so.
