Patna: In a shocking incident a woman has murdered Raj Kishore Keshri, a 4 time MLA of the Bihar state of India. The government has appointed Deputy Inspector General of Purnea to probe into the murder
The MLA was receiving petitions and complaints from people at his residence in Purnea when the woman stabbed him to death. The woman has hidden a knife in her saree and was standing in the queue of visitors. When her turn came to talk to the MLA, she pulled out the knife and stabbed him. The incident occurred on Tuesday morning.
The woman was identified as Rupam Pathak, a school teacher. The spleen of the MLA was damaged by the stabbing and he died instantaneously.
The woman was beaten up by the supporters of the MLA after the incident and was admitted to a hospital in a serious condition. She has alleged that the MLA has been sexually exploiting her for the past three years. However BJP leaders denied the charge and alleged that the woman was blackmailing the MLA.
Shocked by the security lapse, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ordered the police to immediately review the security arrangements for all the MLAs and other VIPs in the state.
