"Aborting a baby because she's a girl or he's a boy is offensive on so many levels, it's hard to imagine anyone trying to justify the practice" said Fr, Frank Pavone.
If the matter is analyzed based on that opinion abortion is offensive to any baby, boy or girl but they can't express themselves, in the meantime this polemic issue has been and continues to be debated about all over the world.

Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry on Thursday signed into law a ban on aborting children based on their gender, making Oklahoma the third state to ban gender-selective abortions.

In addition to "prohibiting the performance of an abortion solely on account of the sex of the unborn child," House Bill 1595 also requires abortionists to provide the Oklahoma State Department of Health with detailed information on each abortion performed.

Abortionists are to record the mother's age, marital status and education level, as well as the number of prior pregnancies, reason and method of abortion, and the nature of the mother’s relationship with the child's father.  Abortionists violating the law for the first time would be subject to a $10,000 fine, rising to $100,000 by the third violation.

The Senate voted 35-9 May 15 in support of the bill, after the House voted 88-6 in favor. The bill will take effect November 1.

Abortion should only be used as a last resort and only in very specific cases.

This day and age there is no longer any reasonable nor acceptable argument justifying this practice.

We have education, Contraceptives, even free condom and pill given out by government and NGO as well as counselling and other form of aid and guidance like we never had before in the industrialized world.

Maybe time for people to grow up and take responsibility for their actions and inaction's as well.

We treating life as if it was a commodity or even disposable.

"The greatest destroyer of peace is abortion because if a mother can kill her own child, what is left for me to kill you and you to kill me? There is nothing between."

Thanks for posting this quote from Mother Teresa.

I suppose this makes sense, but if the mother still wanted to abort her baby, couldn't she just give a different reason? It kind of concerns me how much the fine is the first time around - $10,000!

Another good point. I suppose we would have to infer intent based on future pregnancies and future abortions.

The real solution is spiritual, not legal. The child of whatever sex is valuable in and of his and her self.

Women have no objective consciousness to do late term abortions nor do the people like Obama who allow it.  That is why they can do it.

In most cases it is also a child making the decision who had no role models that demonstrated love.  We have a culture influenced heavily by an immoral media..secular schools run by the government.  Consequently people running around in bodies with only an organic brain operating that fills itself with facts, information and propaganda...no feeling function from the solar plexus..no heart with a brain either.

Women who have abortions are not "killers" tho.   They simply cannot function well in their own life except in some way they have been indoctrinated...they have no vision, no faith andno hope that the future can change.  We are leaving the heavy influence of the hard core,  feminists who have an agenda against men, families and traditions. .

I have friends who chose to have an abortion and one  I went with  to do it.  It was the most horrible experience I cannot find the words to describe.  I have this guilt for not being able to help her make a different decision and she has lifetime emotional pain she has to repress.

They are in so much pain and have no ability to function at all  daily as a human being.  Our country should have spent  money on homes and places for babies to go for adoption.  All the money we have spent on making it easy for girls without moral development make it like , "well, everybody does it"  I suppose they would keep the child once they have it if they went to term.

It is much easier to stop something  that is invisible than to give away a live baby.  One of the reasons I suppose why they hurry to stop the growth in the womb.  From a spiritual perspective I think some believe the soul does not enter the womb until the heart is formed therefore it is not really a "murder". Oh that we could know that we have much more too ..........to our selves that we abort too....our soul itself that is in utero.

Women who have abortion have themselves most likely been abandoned physically or emotionally or both.  Studies will never address this.  It is not a black and white issue.

It needs to be mentioned but I am not that educated about this .  I believe our chemical companies have had a major behind the scenes influence on all of this.

"ABORT"  happens to the women who has not completed her SELF. ..and possibly never will if she cannot  SELF REMEMBER.

We still must allow people a choice in some very few places for safety when several criteria are determined that psychologically, emotionally and physically she should not bring a child to term.  Abortion clinics should be the most extremely uncommon....few and very far between.
