(IsraelNN.com) Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has appointed a ministerial committee to see if it possible to downgrade the prison condition of Arab terrorists to those of Gilad Shalit in captivity. Terror victim expert Meir Indor says Arab terrorists' conditions in Israeli prison are better than those of criminal convicts."

Issues that will be considered include rights to receive visitors, phone calls and study courses, none of which Shalit has received in his 33 months in Hamas captivity.

The list of privileges these criminals receive in Israeli prison sound like its actually better than life in Gaza itself, according to the article and Meir Indor, of the Almagor Terror Victims Association.

They really need to close them down until Israeli soldier Shalit is returned.

I truly hope Gilad is still alive, but I shudder to think what he as gone through.

Not quite accurate. He was in Israel and kidnapped. There is a difference. Where is a super-editor when you need them.

I don't have to shudder for them, their life is better than in Gaza, if there really are non-combatants being held prisoner or those innocent of any crime.

Yes it is. So Israel should stop treating convicted Hamas prisoners like they were in a  country club.  Freeze all the benefits that get until Shalit is freed. All is fair in love and war. right!

Let's just parse this - bear in mind some institution gave this person a degree apparently - had to be in LA I guess:

I don't have to shudder for them, their life is better than in Gaza, if there really are non-combatants being held prisoner or those innocent of any crime.

I don't have to shudder for them - apparently lacks even the imagination to identify with their common suffering

their life is better than in Gaza - doesn't see the irony that life in jail is better tha life under Israel oppression of the Gaza, given it controls the borders

if there really are non-combatants - yup, there are many hundreds of children Isrealis killed just in the last few months - @ 70% of Gazanans are less than 18.

held prisoner or those innocent of any crime - around 1000-2000 according to any independent studies

Rene - you appear to see mozzies, palis or whatever else you term them as sub-human somehow. It says a lot about you.. It says nothing about them
