NP Rank:
Grassroots group may save B.C.'s famed hollow tree

Anyone who has followed my rants on Now Public and my dislike for many Vangroovians as I like to call them, should certainly understand my reasoning behind it. You see, we have a homeless problem, we had a recent freeze and snow not seen in 40 years. One can safely assume it is a dire situation, one can also assume this Sh*t for Brains who is actively raising money and has 50 thousand dollars in private donation to date, is fundraising not for the Homeless, not for any cause but to save a DEAD 800 year old Tree!, That's right, you heard me, a DEAD TREE! Now, I am almost certain his donors are also Fruit Loops who also rant to the media about the seriousness of our homeless problem and what are we to do about it. Can anyone see the Hypocrisy in all this, say one thing and do another. I could be wrong about this Group of Dorks, but my instincts tell me I am right, what do you think? What would you think our priorities should lie, donating money to a Dead Tree or using the money to save Live People?

ctvbc.caStanley Park's famous hollow tree isn't much to look at these days.
Wrapped in cables, propped up by poles and fenced off to the public, the tree barely rates a glance from visiting tourists.
Bruce MacDonald is part of the Stanley Park Hollow Tree Conservation Society. He recalls a time when the giant cedar was one of the most photographed images in Vancouver.
"Anyone who grows up in Vancouver knows and loves the hollow tree," he says.
It's this appreciation for the tree that's compelling him to save it.

ass backwards, considering many are looking for a hot meal, charities are struggling, yet these Wads readily open their wallets for a Dead Tree!

Looks like a group of people not in fear of being homeless or missing any meals.
