The Olympic Green will be the centrepiece during the Beijing Games. Home to seven venues including the iconic Bird's Nest and Water Cube, the green will host 13 different events. We take a look at how preparations are going with the Games just a few days away.
The 1,135-hectare park sits north of Tiananmen Square and a special subway line has been opened that connects to the Green. But you'll need to have a ticket or pass to use the line.
Also making a presence in the Green are the official sponsors of the Olympics, such as Omega, Lenovo and Coca-Cola. They've each set up pavilions in the Green at a reported cost of 40 million yuan each

Yep!
So GREEN it looks GRAY.
At 40 million yuan each, I guess Omega, Lenovo and Coca-Cola can forget the GRAY atmosphere and get some GREEN bills later ;-)

Taken during a recent trip to China in July 08. China has certainly tried to plant almost every tree known to man in Beijing. It's funny to be driving down the street and see the streets lined with Christmas trees. At the very least, it makes for interesting scenery when you're stuck in traffic.
