Heavily armed men dressed up in black bomb squad uniforms stormed Greenbelt 5 in Makati in a robbery attempt of a Rolex store. The robbers had M16 rifles.

Tough luck for them, though, as they went up against the security escorts of a mayor, who was having lunch with his family in Greenbelt 5.

One man was killed in the Greenbelt 5 shootout and property was damaged, in the form of the shattered glass and ransacked Rolex store.

Right around noon of October 18, the Greenbelt 5 shootout occured after the six robbers went up against Tinga's escorts named Cesar Ticlaw and Efren Cenesa.
