Friday National Holiday to allow participation in funeral
The new military leaders declared Friday a national holiday to allow people to attend the funeral.
In a statement read on national radio, Capt Camara invited representatives from the UN, G8, European Union and African Union to a meeting this weekend.
The council has no ambitions to hold on to power

US / France demanding elections soon
The US embassy in Conakry called for an immediate return to civilian rule in Guinea, saying the junta's announcement that elections would not be held for two years was unacceptable.
France, which currently holds the EU presidency, also said a vote should be held soon

I think we should Catana give a chance. Africa goes different ways. If all parties stay connected for progress, including US/France poverty rate in Guinea could go down 30% in the next 10 months. The region is not poor, much mining. Only the old leaders have been egocentric and dictators. Same development was or is in South America. Today Brasil is a roaring economy a democracy. Some 15 years ago, Military leaders only, in South america.
