In Hackensack New Jersey Officials Are Investigating The Collapse of a Parking Garage

One person is trapped in their car in the parking garage that is connected to the Prospect Towers building that caved-in on Friday morning. Police said they can see the person, but they do not know their condition at this time. There could still be another collapse so workers have to be careful while undertaking their rescue mission..

Investigators are now saying that a glass canopy fell off a high-rise and on to the parking garage below, but it is unclear at this point why the canopy fell.

It was around 10am when police got a call that a major collapse had occurred at 300 Prospect Avenue and when they arrived they found two or three of the parking garages were damaged.

Police evacuated a one-block radius around the Prospect Towers building.

Real estate websites describe the Prospect Towers as an 18-story high-rise building with a full-time concierge, pool, and sun deck.
