Hangman Mamu Singh says terrorist Kasab should be publicly hanged

Meerut: Hangman Mamu Singh who has been called by the Tihar jail authorities to be prepared to hang Ajmal Kasab, the Pakistani terrorist responsible for the Mumbai massacre has said the accused should behanged in public so that it would serve as a lesson to other terrorists. He said he was ready to hang him in public if he was ordered to do so.

            Mamu Singh is born in a family or hangmen. His grand father Ram Rakha has hanged Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh during the British rule. His father Kallu Singh has hanged Prime Minister Indir Gandhi’s murderers and also Billa and Ranga who raped and killed a girl and her brother in 1981. Mamu has also so far hanged 14 criminals. He is also likely to hang Afzal, accused in the attack on Indian Parliament. the court has sentenced him to death and his petition for clemency is before the resident of India.

            Mamu said he had no qualms about hanging terrorists who attack the Indian sovereignty.
