Happy 4th of July- North Korea pops off another missile
North Korea is helping us celebrate the 4th of July Early. At approximately 3 a.m. EDT another missile was deployed. All indications was it is a short range missile. Satellite surveillance indicates that the long range missile promised to be launched is not being fueled. So it appears that Hawaii can rest easy as the threats seem unfounded. This missile launch is the fifth such in the last several days.
Update: at 4:05 a.m. EDT North Koera has launched another scud type missile this wold be the 6th Missile. The last launch came one hour ago.
SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- North Korea test-launched six ballistic missiles off its eastern coast over several hours on Saturday, the latest in a series of provocative acts by the communist nation locked in a protracted stand-off with the U.S. and other global powers over its nuclear and missile programs, according to the South Korean military.
"North Korea fired two missiles toward the East Sea from the Gitdaeryong base near Wonsan, Gangwon Province, between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. today. And it fired another one into the East Sea from the same site around 10:45 a.m.," an official at the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said. "All the missiles are estimated to have a range of 400-500km."
Michelle Malkin Reports
Because they can:
South Korea says North Korea has fired a fourth missile off its eastern coast.
The Joint Chiefs of Staff says three missiles were fired early Saturday and the fourth at about noon.
The launches come two days after North Korea fired four short-range missiles.
Yonhap says they’re Scuds.
Did President Obama’s phone ring yet?

Wait - don't panic just yet.
Let's have the UN send North Korea a harshly worded diplomatic note before we do anything about this.
Oh, if only some highly intelligent liberal diplomat would sit down with Kim and just talk things through with him. We all know North Korea is just misunderstood - right?
Maybe if we could just find out what is it they want from us and then we'll have a peaceful North Korea playing an important role in world affairs - right?
Maybe Al Gore needs to talk to Kim and discuss North Korea's carbon footprint at the same time! Time to pay up on your carbon credits Kim - stop blowing your money on missiles!
:)
PS I've heard Kim has a breeding pair of "Man-bear-pigs" in his private zoo!

Yes those well worded UN resolutions have done us well. We should wait and see what the UN says for us to do LOL
I think we do nothing. That is what N Korea wants the least ans that is what he shuld get from us. We should stop making him some superpower and heighten his ego

I heard another scud type was launched. The were used in the Gulf war and not much to worry about unless they are within a few hundred miles. so I think we are up to 7 now
