Charlie Rangel will keep on chugging and Harlem will be no better off for it. Amidst upsets by the Tea Party elsewhere, you can’t unseat an incumbent any more than you can stop an elephant. For all of the people that may have ticked off Charlie, look out. Seniority rules.

NEW YORK - Facing ethics charges in Washington and upstart challengers at home, Rep. Charles B. Rangel (D-N.Y.) won a resounding victory Tuesday to keep the Harlem-based House seat that he has easily controlled for 40 years.”
