Stephan Dion renewed his attacks on prime minister Stephen Harper, saying Harper shares the same ideolgy as George W. Bush.
“It’s a weakness of those governments... it’s the same ideology that Mr. Harper has,” Mr. Dion said Monday.
“When you have a U.S. president that starts to panic suddenly and comes with a last-minute solution is because the conservative ideology never works in the economy,” Mr. Dion added.
The separatist Bloc Quebecois reclaimed the lead in the francophone province of Quebec ahead Canada's elections, as support for the ruling Conservatives plunged eight percentage points, said a poll Monday.
The Conservative leader said that, if re-elected, his government would give a new tax break for children enrolled in arts activities and would extend tax credits for children's sports programs and for programs that help families save for a child's post-secondary education.

The Bloc Quebecois, while open to seperation, can't be considered a seperatist party these days. It is more of a nationalist party, promoting a strong Quebec while participating in Canada. Perhaps this will change, but untill there is a referendum on sovereignty this is their position. Since there is no referendum on the horizon for many years to come their position had to be updated. Even the provincial Quebecois party has removed seperation from their platform until there are "winning conditions" (des conditions gagnantes)...
So the Bloc should be refered to as a nationalist party, not seperatist.
