On the eve, of yet another non-confidence motion by the Liberal Party, an EKOS poll indicates that the Harper Conservative have solidified their lead among the Canadian Electorate.

The poll shows that the Conservatives lead nationally with 36% support.  The Liberals have 29.7% support, followed by the NDP with 13.9%, the Green Party with 10.5% and the Bloc Quebecois with 9.8%.

The Conservative Party leads in every province West of Quebec, while the Liberals lead in Atlantic Canada and are second in Quebec.

The non-confidence motion tabled against the government by the Liberals, to be voted on tomorrow, is not expected to pass. The NDP is expected to vote against it with the Conservatives.  Jack Layton, Leader of the New Democrats, has stated that his party will support the government until the Employment Insurance eligibility period is reformed.

At 13.5% popularity in the polls, it probably has to do more with the NDP's likelihood to lose their share of seats in the House of Commons.

Ignatieff will have to wait a little longer to defeat the government.

After moving ahead of the Liberals in recent weeks, national support for the Conservative Party support has "gelled," according to a new poll.

The EKOS poll, released Thursday exclusively to the CBC, indicates the Conservatives have 36 per cent support nationally, followed by the Liberals with 29.7 per cent. The New Democratic Party got the support of 13.9 per cent of poll respondents, the Green Party 10.5 per cent, and the Bloc Québécois 9.8 per cent.

There are signs the electorate has "gelled" for the moment, with the Conservatives leading the Liberals by about six percentage points, EKOS president Frank Graves said.

In the EKOS poll, the Conservatives led in every in province west of Quebec, while the Liberals led in Atlantic Canada and were second in Quebec behind the Bloc.

Now is it any wonder the Conservatives will continually lead in the polls?

Of course they will!

Below is my story link I did two weeks ago on the Liberals and what they have in store for us if ever they get into power. I was perusing the liberals private members bills of which there are many, but this one caught my eye!  Funny I could find this, but it took the media two weeks to act on it,and once the Conservatives found it, they screamed bloody murder. I guess Conservatives and media sometimes take a few peeks at my column for the good stuff. What other explanation could it be?

Below is the Conservatives mirroring mine!

Dahllas proposal of providing OAS to Senior with only three years in Canada has been costed at roughly 700 million.  (300 million according to Dhalla). According to the above articles, the OAS Income Supplement had not been factored in.
