I am sparing the details, though you may look them up. At this point, Democrats will lose the House according to the polls. This can change, but what would it take?

It is all about jobs. If the economy and jobs picked up in two months, maybe the Democrats chances would improve. If the President had a solid private sector growth plan that business bought into, then things might improve.

Otherwise, hope is fading.

If Iraq deteriorates and/or if Afghanistan doesn’t improve, these things will further weigh down an overburdened presidency.

The only thing that can turn the tide is economic recovery.

The Gallup organization dropped a bomb on the political world this week. In shorthand, the pollsters said Monday that if the midterm elections were held now, Republicans would take control of the House - and probably by a comfortable margin.”
