Queen Hatshepsut ( =Foremost of the Noble Ladies) was the 5th Pharao of the 18th dynasty of ancient Egypt. She ruled Egypt for 22 years (1479 to 1458 BC).
Djeser-Djeseru is the main building of Hatshepsut's Mortuary Temple at Dier el-Bahri on the west bank of Nile opposite the city of Luxor.
It is a fine example of perfect symmetry. It was designed by Hatshepsut's royal architect Senenmut.
In the mortuary temple, there are two statues of queen Hatshepsut wearing the full regalia of Egyptian kings including the ceremonial beard!
