11 and Our Troops

As people take a moment today to remember what happened on September 11th eight years ago, many are turing to the song called 'Have You Forgotten' by Darly Worley to find comfort and inspiration to remember the day and events.

September 11th will never be forgotten for most people, but as time goes by some memories can fade or change and it is often that people turn to song to help them express how they feel.

On September 11th 2001:

9/11 timeline of events: On September 11, 2001, two hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, one at the Pentagon in Arlington, Va., and a fourth in a field in Shanksville, Pa. Almost 3,000 people died in the attacks, including 24 Canadians.

Darly Worley has put his feelings about September 11th to song with lyrics such as:

You took all the footage off my T.V.
Said it's too disturbin for you and me
It'll just breed anger is what the experts say
If it was up to me I'd show it everyday
Some say this country just out lookin' for a fight
Well after 9/11 man I'd have to say right.

In the chorus he sings:

Have you forgotten, how it felt that day?
To see your homeland under fire
And her people blown away
Have you forgotten when those towers fell
We had neighbors still inside goin' through a livin' hell
And we vow to get the ones behind Bin Laden
Have you forgotten?

Good Lyrics, understandable, however lacking perspective as well.

Lebanese could say the same about US bomb on Beirut and the list is rather long to elaborate here.

Still two wrong never made it right.

When will we learn?
