I have never met a real Christian, it’s actual very alarming that no body that calls themselves a Christian have not understood what Christ was actually saying.

The present day format of Christianity is a mixture of Judaism and part of Christ’s Philosophy. But if you actual read the words of Christ he wanted to completely separate his new religion from the harsh religion of the Jews.

It’s all about loving your enemy and turning ones cheek and living in harmony and peace. Repenting ones sins and not sinning again and observing the 10 commandments that the Jew’s mainly did not do.

To Constantine Christianity in its pure form was not a good religion as it was against going to battle and fighting so he had it mixed with Judaism and the old religions of Rome.

Religion is in fact a very powerful tool of indoctrination and is used to control people it is much powerful than political indoctrination. Stalin once said religion is the opium of the people. I can only explain it as not being unlike a virus. One power seeker noted the power of the Christian religion and then started his own it’s now the biggest contender to the Roman faith. Islam has not adapted to modern society and it has become a way of living life for billions of Muslims.

It’s a shame really that Christianity was not adapted as in its pure form of turn your cheek, love your neighbor and obey the ten commandment form it would of helped mold the world into a better place to live.

Like most people who love to disect what Christianity is all about, you fail to

Really have you read his words and only his words as thats the only way to learn to walk in his shoes.

I don't love to disect Christianity I love to point out that so called Christians are not following the real faith that Christ explained.  I Love to see the truth..

The truth however hurts sometimes..

Are you a real Christian?

That what I said and its correct, read his words

Read the book of Matthew (not a few chapters, please). He is a Jew and should be able to tell you the relationship and the differences between the law and the gospel of Jesus.

And please, stop that old argument about the opium of the people. You can do better than that.

Lastly, if you are very concerned about Christianity in its pure form, you can start the revolution. Jesus Christ needs hearts like yours.

Read Jesus words and then you will understand he was totally against the Jewish way of looking at their God. Every word he states are coated in peace, goodness and not related to hate or evil thoughts.

I only regard Christ as a moral hearted Philosopher, not a god nor the son of a god. I fully understand what he was saying it had nothing to do with the old ways. My true views can be found in my book The Second Grand Renaissance

I really wished that people did follow the faith as he laid down within his Philosophy

I have taken time to read "The Second Grand Renaissance", Babel-Fish. I needed to look into the background view of your previous comments. I was disappointed because I thought I would see a refreshing view of things. It is still the same athiest arguments I have heard in different corners. But you were honest about few of your questions. I will give you props for that.

At least, I can agree with you that the Christian "house of prayer" is a laundry house. In fact it is supposed to be. If it isn't then it has defeated the purpose for which it was established. It is a place to unburdened your heart, confess your sins, and be open about who you are.

I believe if you want know something, you need to examine it. You need to examine the concept of Christ as a whole because your argument smacks of someone who has relied on scraps of information supplied by non-Christians. That can be deceptive.

But I will return to the argument on who Jesus is and his perspective to the law of Moses. If you don't agree about who Jesus SAID HE IS, then you can't understand his "philosophies" because his so-called "philosophies" are based on who he is.

About the Jewish law....when Christ said, "I did not come to do away with the law but fulfill it." Matthew 5:17, what do you think it meant?

Like I said before, I will still refer you to the book of Matthew. He is a Jew and has a lot to teach you about Christ and EVERYTHING else you mentioned in your book. Trust me.

Sorry, Babel-Fish. You are way out of your league on this one.

Jesus was as Jewish as they came. He kept the entire Jewish Law, in word, actions, and spirit. He not only fulled the letter of the Law, he fulfilled the intent of the Law.

He preached no philosophy, just love - first for His Father, then for others.

He hated evil and spoke against it constantly. He taught/preached against moral ambiguity, adultery, theft, murder, hypocrisy, and the failure of individuals to love their neighbors - whoever they may be.

If He wasn't the Son of God, he was a liar and a con artist.

Understanding what being Jewish is has been a big part of my life I know both the Judaism,  Torah and the Christian Faith and its bible very well .  I have been writing about religion for about 10 years or so now.

Being born a Jew and practicing both faiths through out my life time makes me want to show the over cheek however what I am going to say you have got a bloody cheek, lol.

Jesus Christ was a Philosopher he was Jewish and not very happy at many of its harsh problems its total harshness.

He was creating a new religion, read his every word he wanted the 10 commandments followed he wanted people to live together in harmony, he want people to be ever forgiving. he wanted peace on earth. The religion Christ wanted was totally different to Constantine religion yes Christians all follow a Roman emperors religion some of the original indoctrination may of changed.

Now I ask have you practiced Judaism as I have plus being a Christian, who is out of his league? Cheeky devil. lol

Jesus was born and raised a Jew, as were his disciples. Jesus died a Jew. His disciples died as Jews that believed in Him.

I will restate what i said above.

If Jesus wasn't the Son of God, he was a liar and a con artist.

If you don't believe that Jesus was the Son of God, you aren't a Christian. Simple as that. Believing the fact that he was God's son, doesn't make you a Christian, but you can't be one if you don't believe that.

And lest I forget, I am NOT a Christian (as I'm not a church-goer). But I believe in Christ and what He stands for.

0
Babel-Fish

I believe in the right not to have beliefs imposed by parents and religious bodies before one can make up ones own mind. Its to do with Human rights, religious indoctrination is similar to communist indoctrination or even fascist indoctrination.

Freedom of thought is a very valuable thing in a world that people do not want you to have it.

Have religious beliefs been imposed on you by your parents when you were young and lack the knowledge of the ways of the world? If that is true, I apologise on their behalf. They were only doing what they thought was best for their lovely child. No child has to go through that..(crying)

Thats cool you believed that he lived, very interresting man.  what is the point of taking the side of chrisitanity if you are not a chrisitan?  I beleive in christ to, i know he was a guy that dies for his beleifs, but I am not a chrisitian for that reason and also because i know that there is not thus one single entinty that controls everything, thats ludicrous lol

You don't have to go to church to be a christian. It's a trapping of current day religion that people think they have to do to be christian. Belief in God and belief in Christ as the savior and that we are nothing without them  And really the whole don't sin over and over is kinda and impossibility. We are human... we sin.  But we're forgiven and in genuinely asking for forgiveness we are humbled. I mean even Peter denied Christ. But this is getting longer then it needs to be. Church is a place to learn and worship with others it is not the path to heaven.

No revealed religion has a comprehensive definition of its follower, that's why so many sects and sub-sects.Scriptures are cryptic and metaphorical, thus open to various interpretations.Bible has four versions,Koran has one.Despite that Muslims even do not agree on translations, let alone exegies.

Long back I read Bertrand Russels' essay 'Why I Am not a Christian?'There was no definitition of a Christian,British Parliament took upon itself to define a Christian and it was made essential for a Christian to beleive in Hell.In mid-fifties there were anti-Qadiani riots in Pakistan(Qadiani is sect which has been declared non-Muslims) a commission was constituted to look into causes of riots. The concluding remarks of commission members were startling:"there were no two learned divines who could agree on this fundamental as to who is a Muslim;according to the opinion of one we(commission members)were Muslims but accrording to others we too were not Muslims".

Faith is a matter between creator and beleiver.Every one is answerable to God for all his acts of ommission and commission, good deeds or bad deeds.Who is a real Christian has to be decided by whom? That is a trillion $ question.

Ride on brother ride on..

But belief is a freedom of choice and should not be imposed, that is against human rights.

Well I think a real Christian is one that follows the actual words of Christ and not those that some one else states as being what the religion is all about. Its simple read the words and follow the footsteps exactly.

No one has done that to my knowledge.

1
t k kidwai

That is exactly I meant.Niether any one has right to impose his/her beleifs on others.Who is a real Christian and who is not, none of us is qualified to pronounce judgement.

Before long someone is going to quote a passage from the Jewish Torah in a declaration of their Jewishness. lol

One has to love the right wing religious adverts being place against my article here on Nowpublic http://www.gnmagazine.org/church/?S=2&gclid=CPai_pnZmZ4CFZAvpAodLGqwog lol

What amusing is google is producing the same advert on my blog page, lol  Us atheist can't win, lol

Religion has become a way to make money, Jesus is turning over in his grave

i tuely dont believe that there is a good christan man/woman out there...from what ive observedlately about christianity...theres no love your neighbour as yourself...only love your neighbour until you get caught...then  the good christian church will forgive you and you are free to commit adultery again. ... i dont pretend to be a biblical scholar nor that knowlegable about the writings in the bible, but i do know that christ would have been upset to see and here the vitriole spewing from the lips of some so called followers of him today.

That's not fair, people. I have met some wonderful Christian people who have helped me on my way. Ahhh....good memories.

But you'all need to give religion some props for its role in the world. All these concepts of human rights, independent thinking, moral laws, civil laws (whether its Magna Carter or Declaration of Independence), and even science rose from forms of religion.

Without religion this world will be a slaughter house. A den of lions.

0
jeffrero

I agree with your last statement about the den of lions.  That is the exact reason that religion is in existence, to balence the "evil" in the world but life evil good is made of many things, not just religion so that in itself shows how religion is just an aspect of human behavior.  Life is a dichotomy, light and dark, religious and non religious (which can be anything, food can be your religion or drugs because they are praised, respected, given symbols, songs are written about them, figures represent them, such as jesus represents "christianity", etc it was egyptians for example beleived in the after life and the dead were given food, jewls, money and cloths to prepare them for the "eternal riches" because those were held on high during those times, now it is just not as extreme but these objects are still praises just on a different level).  What about the greek gods apollo, representation of all that is logic, and dionysus that represents all that is illogic?  Why don't we still beleive in that? ( we now know that gods do not control our behavior yet we still beleive that we are "guided" by a single god, which is an example of the evolution of religion, but this god doesnt actually make us do what we do, that doesn't make any sense.  So this knowledge that gods didnt exist changed our way of thinking, beahvior, the way we communicated, fought, ate, dance, and lots of everyday things.  The same will happend once we get to a point in time of history and "religion" changes again and puts a whole new spin on things. religions have evolved along with science and REAL knowledge about the world we live in has had a great effect on the evolution of religion.  And thats just what religion is, it is the representation of the good of the world, or at least the good of the world and the people that hide behind religion, such as actors, sports figures and politicians.  religion has and is still a way to simply to "find your place" in life becasue like all animals we have certain aspects that stand out, one is our extremely unique and "advanced" way of communication and expression of biological functions through language wether this be body languge, spoken word in the form of song or poetry or written word, or react to emotions caused by your brain (science changes religion)  But religion has been evolving just like we have as a species.  Just think how the first religion would have started, what would the first humans (note that there brains were not as nearly developed as ours) have done without the ability to speak, write, sing etc?  Read the book "the soul in the brain" it will make you think, make you think outside your "hole"y religion and suck it up and realize that we are just another animal, an organism of biological fucntions that are infinitely small(everything is made of something therefore it never ends) and vice versa.  If God is so powerful why would he just create one earth like this?  If god created man in his own image than what about life in the universe?  Why is there ice in Mars? god must have put that there hahaha When a christian gets out of bed in the morning and prays to god for help on somethin is that the same as asking your invisble friend for help when you were younger because it gives you comfort and a sense of "life" and purpose (which is the goal of all life)?  Jesus had mental issues that he could either easily control (meaning he knew when it was coming), were mild and not noticable on a physical appearence level or the illness was a form of manic depression, which would be evidence towards the stories he told which were very vague and meaningless and the great joy and peace he had and the ability to stay out in the desert for 40 days, which that number is probaly over exaggerated but is possible for someone with extreme manic states to stay awake for weeks and it would be easy.  When he threw a fit in the temple it was a depressive and agressive state.  He would asways travel without rest for extended periods of time and became a haggard in a way and was obssesive about spreading "his word".  This sounds like more examples of manic states just read a fucking book beside the bible or something that doesnt talk about god or something that you can realate to god and say "god wanted me to read this" hahaha and you will learn more outside the line or religious reason which is designed to keep you in that hole or a world.  Religion is a perception on life.  If you were raised chrisitan from birth and you were only exposed to chritians and christian gatherings or at least most of the time you will obviously become a chrsitian and think there is a god that keeps you safe art night while kids around the world die everyday without ever getting the chance to experience life and yet you are wasting it on believing in a ghost, a ghost inside your head because life is pereceived differently by everyone therefore religion  and its emotions ans beliefs form it are purely bilogical and dtem from your chemistry in your brain which has smaller emergen layers that affect those.  When you pray you are simply communicated to something made in your head.  Why has something so sacred and precious faded over time?  The knowledge keeps piling up and will until this world ends, when it does masks of the religious will be shattered, when the world needs itself and human existence is near end is the day everyone realizes what life is all about and that religion among all things is just another facet of the human experience and way of living, thats it.  Come down.get off your fuckin cross. We need the fuckin space to nail the next fool martyr. To ascend you must die.You must be crucifiedFor our sins and our lies. Goodbye!!!                                                        -Tool He died....just like an animal, just like all organisms evetually do, just as our world will someday.  You know how animals get caught in traps becaue we are smarter than them?  Well Jesus along with other martyrs became controled by there brains like a trap, he was led to this death by himself and his own actions.  He died a "happy" and "fullfilled" fool.

(Laughing)....it could be worse, marianmo.....Let's be thankful for the little peace we've got (laughing) ...and let's hope, pray, or wish religious bigots who delight is slaughtering people would change. But seriously, we can't blame religion for whatever war is happening presently. I understand it has far more political undertone.

Without religion this world will be a slaughter house. A den of lions.

Its because of religion that the world is just like that today. Not one religion has provided peace?

Religion actual invades human rights, humans should not be indoctrinated in any way.

"Its because of religion that the world is just like that today. Not one religion has provided peace? Religion actual invades human rights, humans should not be indoctrinated in any way."

Really? Typical of human beings. Always looking for someone or something else to blame.

dude he isn't blaming religon directly, you gotta be less defensive man in your conversation skills and instead of attacking ones opinion/belief you should try to convince of your own beleifs.  Blaming is a natural part oif human behavior.  Lets say an animal gets shot by a hunter, does that animal yell at him? No because he can't talk/think and process biological information the same as we do, but if he could(which is a definng characteristic of humans) than he would blame him for getting shot right.  the animal wouldn't blame himself.  We overanalyze way to much but that is yet another charatceristic that makes us human as could be ( which i think it IS) a major cause for the birth of religion, to answer why are we here.  The truth is though we will, with our current knowledge, never know so enjoy life and than die.  If our brains have come this far where will we be at a biological an physical level in lets say 10,000 years?  religion will not be the same, no way, that far into the future. we need to become one people and strenghten our communication, religion will only hurt this.  What could be a reaosin that animnals have beocme extinct in the past?  They obviously do not adapt and therefore evolve fast enought to weigh out the things causeing them to diminish, and communication is key to survivial, if communication doesnt evolve along with us as a species we will come to an end before this world is done and as it looks we will be the end to ourselves. If christians our preparing for the afterlife there whole life than how are they helping the current world?  Rreligion is a cause of slowing down of growth as a species because it impacts our communication so directly. over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind.Feed my will to feel this moment urging me to cross the line.Reaching out to embrace the random. Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.  -tool
