The Headley Conundrum

Headley is a very dangerous subject for USA. This character was used by the American agencies for multiple objectives. Initailly he was used (blackmailed) to work for the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) to work undercover and exposed drug trafficers. Later CIA used him as an undercover agent to infilterate into the militant organizations. Headley instead of becoming part of the US agencies developed deep resentment against them. Headly became part of the militant organizations and US intelligence agencies failed to recognize this conversion in Headley. This was a failure on the part of US intelligence agencies and whatever actions Headley was able to conduct can be purely blamed on CIA and FBI as both of these organizations failed to monitor a person as dodgy as Headley. They knew about his criminal past and yet they still used a criminal like him to travel freely between Pakistan and India. In the end all I can say that the US agencies used a "US" citizen who was a criminal to harm both Pakistan and India. I am sure Headley holds enough information to expose a lot of discrepancies in the CIA and FBI operations in the AF-PAK-IND region.
