Heavy rains continued to lash the city today but transport systems were largely unaffected and no incidents of major water logging were reported.
The meteorological department said its Colaba station in south Mumbai had recorded 249.7 mm of rainfall while its Santacruz station in north west Mumbai recorded 154.5 mm of rainfall over the last 24 hours till 0830 hours today.
Though water logging was there in some low lying areas of the city and suburbs, but it did not affect flow of road traffic, civic officials said.
However, suburban rail services of the Western and the Central Railways were delayed by about 10 to 15 minutes due to heavy rains but were operating without any hindrance, railway officials said.
Operations at the city's international airport were also largely unaffected due to the rain, a spokesperson said.
Meanwhile two persons were injured when their slums collapsed in the Rabale camp area of northeast Mumbai, civic officials said adding, both of them are out of danger.
The meteorological department has warned fishermen not to venture out during the next 24 hours to avoid any mishap.
