A young Briton and international Baluch rights activist who had come on a private visit to the US but was thoroughly mistreated at the Newark airport, handcuffed, deported, and his visa waiver privilege revoked has shed his bitterness about the incident and has called for the release of the abducted UN High Commission for Refugees official John Solecki.

Noordin Mengal, 22, a secular nationalist, was mistaken for an Islamic terrorist. He is a grandson of two top politicians, Sardar Ataullah Mengal and Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri, both of who think the concept of Allah is a rude joke with humanity.

The persons holding Mr. John Solecki should be well aware of the fact that it is not the United Nations but the Pakistani state which has persistently denied the Baloch people their basic human rights and has been responsible for untold atrocities in Balochistan. Mr. Solecki is connected with an organization involved in many humanitarian endeavours in Balochistan and should not be seen as an enemy, but as a friend who has been there at times when people have been victims of natural disasters or brutal atrocities at the hands of states.

Being a Baloch I fully agree with you that the Baloch should make a difference between their enemies and neutral organizations and individuals. Baloch are no terrorist and the UN is not the target of the Baloch though the UN has criminally ignored the plight of the Baloch. John Solecki, or whoever it may be, is not our enemy and should be valued highly of his services to the cause of the refugees althought the UN has a crimial silent on the Baloch question and the plight of Baloch.

We all appeal to the Baloch holding Mr Solecki to release him unconditionally and immediately to show that Baloch are law abiding humans and have a high consideration for the UN.
