Fri, 12 Sep 2008 17:33:15 GMT Hezbollah says any negotiation between the Lebanese factions requires an agreement on the definition of the country's enemies. Nawaf al-Mousawi, Hezbollah's official for external affairs, warned those who consider Israel a neighbor or hope to compromise with Tel Aviv will sacrifice Lebanon for the Israeli regime, a Press TV correspondent reported.
Reviewing the country's defense strategies is not just a military issue, but is to solidify a national attitude toward 'friends and enemies', he said, highlighting the significance of a unanimous agreement among the Lebanese political parties to recognize Israel as the country's sole enemy. Al-Mousavi described those who join the negotiation table wishing to disarm Hezbollah or dissolve it in the army as shortsighted and warned against the bitter consequences of such 'harmful thinking'. He said that all Lebanese groups should sit the talks to help the reconciliation process and put an end to the country's political strife.
All the participants must strive to reach an agreement on how to craft an inclusive government and how to fight Israeli threats, he concluded. MRS/MMN, Original source at PressTV
