CENTRAL JAVA, INDONESIA - 8 JUNE 2008 : Farmer collecting onion leaves piece by piece. And then he will take it into traditional
market in Karangnayar, Central Java, Indonesia. The onion usually
use in the cooking spice of food, making the taste more spicy. The high rise of oil
price hit onion price slowly. Now, the farmers only can sell it 1,500 rupiahs/kilograms
($ 0,15) although the global price of subsidized fertilizer and fuel reaching in the high price,
reach over 85-187% of fertilizer and $130/barrels for oil.

The fuel price can be kept lower by selling locally.  Fertilizer is expensive.  The government is supposed to subsidize the farmer so that people can eat.  This is good for the country and its economics.  This builds an economy and food isn't too expensive.
