Highway Exposure-Missing Mary Badaracco Billboard

Highway Exposure

Mary Badaracco has been missing for more than 24 years.

The family of a missing Sherman woman is hoping a new billboard will help solve the case.  A picture of Mary Badaracco will soon be front and center for drivers going down Route 37 in Danbury.

A billboard is being put up to help find who killed Mary Badarocco.

Beth Profeta, Mary's daughter, has been trying to get the billboard for years. Now, thanks to the CUE Center for Missing Persons, her dream is becoming a reality.   "I've tried to do it over the years, for the past 15 years, on my own, but never had the money," said Profeta.

Mary Badaracco went missing back in August of 1984, and state police have ruled her case a homicide.  Investigators say it's still an active case, and they're following up on leads. But every day that goes by is painful for Badaracco's family.  They're hoping this billboard will help get answers.

"I just hope that it jogs someone's memory and they'll come forward and make a call," said Profeta.

The family says they've made it easy for someone to come forward.  All the information to submit a tip is on the website www.marybadaracco.com. People can submit a tip to the CUE center or anonymously to police.

"What would they do if this was their family. Wouldn't they want to know? And if you do have information, how do you look at yourself in the mirror every day and go on, knowing that you have information that can help?" asked Profeta.
