Hillary and Obama Forced to Into the Church of Mormon! by Lee Late

Thinking that McCain, Obama or Hillary are actually going to make drastic domestic and international improvements in 4 short years is a pipe dream. Anyone who believes this should seriously give their heads a shake.

Obama and Hillary are not newcomers to US domestic political sports- at present they are playing on the domestic card to gain the upper hand from each other as well as McCain. The only reason why they are such a phenoms in US and World political affairs is largely because Obama is a person of colour, and Hillary a women; two options never seen on the US primary front who might actually have a chance at presidential victory in the liberal and more open minded US political electorate we are supposedly seeing at present.

I am largely rife with apathy, and love to ask people this simple question when they challenge Bush- come on he's a moron right! What would you have done as President of the land of the free and the home of the brave after 9/ 11? Everyone loves to put Bush' s blunders in hindsight; if we could look at everything in hindsight the world would be perfect. Seriously, your telling me that other proud nation/ patriots are not going to continue to attack the declining American Empire? At least Bush could have yielded and thought a little more at the time, wrong- remember how high emotional retributional feeling was piping through the veins of most!

What scares me about Obama and Hillary, two persons I have the utmost respect for, is that they are neglecting the international front and focusing on winning their campaigns solely on the domestic. Obviously this is necessary in primary season, yet come the campaign this will be an interesting point of contention. Neglecting the present international system is inviting foreign dissent to strike again; 9/ 11 style, then what will happen of these domestic reforms to alleviate poverty when Jay Leno and Larry King are once again forced to calm the nation with melodramatic patriotism, and my favorite (seriously) good country/ folk music. The new president will be far too occupied with international affairs. Look at how Gordon Brown of Britain was brought to his knees on domestic reform the day he became PM due to international dissent in order to test his balls.

I understand the importance of dealing with the people- domestic: Gas prices, food prices at the moment- yet how can one sustain trade to gain these vital products without international order- This is one reason I am partial to McCain. Call me whatever you like, but he has experience with 'realpolitik' he's fought war. How would each one of these unbelievably political savvy characters, Hillary, Obama, and McCain, how are they going to deal with the next crisis on domestic soil. Who can maintain a somewhat working international order the best (a perfect international order is also a myth)? Nobody has the answer, and if you think you do- you' re a fool.
