The Gallup survey conducted Oct. 1-4, and released Thursday, shows Clinton's favorable ratings at 62 percent and Obama's at 56 percent.Gallup said the juxtaposition is due more to Obama's declining popularity than any rise in Clinton's favorable numbers, which have changed little since January. Then, 78 percent saw Obama favorably, compared with 65 percent for Clinton.
This development is not
unexpected. The president
is the leader, makes decisions.
The secretary of state is just
one member of the team, She
is not as much in the spotlight,
Crowd Power

The US Caucasians are coming out of a nightmare. True, most of them voted for Obama. But with the new turn in health care etc, these Caucasians are looking for alternatives already.
Popularity is nothing. Executive ability is what is important
Don't forget that Clinton got a resounding beating at the primaries. Also, don't forget that Clinton is using this platform to become the next President of the USA. With the Clintons, any tactic is possible to get there.
Is there some Black, White thing going on somewhere?

No there is no black/white thing going on, in my opinion.
But I do think that there is a smear tactic going on with the media, as you pointed out the Clintons will use any tactic possible.
I hate it when the media is used as a weapon, which is most of the time.
Hilary is as diplomatic as a bull.
Here is a simple example.
She implies that Putin does not have a soul. This is a President (at that time) of a great nation that she is talking about. Then she expects to become President herself, and visit Russia and ask them to allow them to transfer their missiles through their airspace.???????????
Very tactless. I like Putin's response... swift and to the point.
I know the media plays on the fact that he was KGB. But do they ever report that he wears a cross around his neck that he never takes off?? (A cross blessed in Israel). Even when they dish out his "shirtless" pictures, no one makes note that he is wearing a cross, only that he is naked.
We have got to stop playing up to the garbage media!!
Note how little was said about Hilary visiting Russia recently (Oh didn't you know?), and Putin just happened to be in China at the time and could not receive her.
How inconspiciously absent she was during Obama's visit to Russia in July....
Monsantos ring a bell??

Actually, Lalith, 43% of U.S. Caucasians voted for President Obama, 41% among White males; 46% among White females.
In America, almost everything has the potential to be a Black/White thing but, in this case, it may also be the difference in the jobs and the hammering the President has been receiving from a variety of quarters in relation to all of the issues being addressed and needing to be addressed.
I can't recall any recent media attacks or constituent related attacks orchestrated against Secretary Clinton.

Good comment.
A president gets more negative media than does a secretary of state.

Actually most whites voted for McCain.
"McCain won whites by 12 points, while Obama won blacks by 91 points, Hispanics by 36 points, and Asians by 27 points."----wikipedia

According to the New York Times, African Americans voted for Barack Obama 95%, the Hispanic vote was 67%, the Asian vote, 62%.

good information.
It would be great to have a president with equal support from all races and ethnic groups.

"Is there some Black, White thing going on somewhere?"
No idea, Sir. But definitely the cause can be found in brown, wheat and yellow.

She has probably kept herself out of the spotlight on purpose. She still has aspirations:)

If Obama is very unpopular in 2012 Clinton could run against him.

Whats with the US Caucasian thing here?! Why do people insist on digging up garbage for the sake of an argument?! Why do people have to play the race card when it is not even CALLED for?! Enough of this black/white/green/purple/orange/yellow/red/blue BS!!
